Until early 2011, Kara Hadge was a research associate for the Media Policy Initiative at the New America Foundation, having first joined the Initiative close to its inception as an intern. At New America she conducted research and wrote about issues concerning local, digital, and public interest media, as well as open government. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology at Georgetown University.
Ms. Hadge has had previous experience in journalism at Slate and Vanity Fair magazines and continues to work as a freelance writer in her spare time. She graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College, where she studied English and art history and served as editor-in-chief of Counterpoint magazine.
