WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The New America Foundation's Federal Education Budget Project (FEBP) today announced an expansion and update of its online database of federal funding, student demographic, and student achievement information (www.edbudgetproject.org). FEBP is the only centralized source of school district-level student achievement data available to the public, the media, and education policy makers.
"The student-loan industry is as close as you can get to letting industry set their own subsidy rates," says Jason Delisle, a veteran Republican budget staffer who now directs the Federal Education Budget Project for the nonpartisan New America Foundation.
