Susan Chambers

M. Susan Chambers is the Executive Vice President of the People Division for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. She is the chief human resource officer of the world's largest private workforce with more than 1.7 million employees globally. At Wal-Mart, she also served as Vice President for the Information Systems Division and Senior Vice President of CMI.

Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Ms. Chambers was employed for 14 years with Hallmark Cards Inc. where her last position was Director of Applications Development. She also held previous technical assignments at Amoco Oil Corp. Ms. Chambers is on the Kansas State University Business Advisory Board, the Center for Women’s Business Research Advisory Council, and serves on the Leadership Council of the New America Foundation. She has a bachelor’s degree in systems and data processing from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
