Sarah Axeen
As Program Associate in the Health Policy Program at the New America Foundation, Sarah Axeen conducts research on health care disparities and how they affect access to and the quality of health care for both the insured and the uninsured. She also works to advance the overall goals of the program by conducting data analysis.
Ms. Axeen graduated cum laude and with departmental honors from Pomona College with a bachelor’s degree in public policy analysis and politics. Before joining New America, she researched the viability of large-scale reforms to the Medicare program and HUD policies regarding low-income Section 8 tenants in Los Angeles. She has also conducted research on the structure and workings of the Scandinavian welfare systems.
