Program Associate, Economic Growth Program

As a research associate in the Economic Growth Program, Samuel Sherraden contributes to promoting policy for sustainable growth in the United States and abroad.

Before joining the New America Foundation, Mr. Sherraden attended George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in East Asian Studies. He has lived many years in East Asia and developed a particular interest in the Chinese economy and the challenges of China’s rise. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
