As Deputy Editor of NewAmerica.Net, Paul Testa focuses on New America's new media efforts and web publishing operations. Before joining the Communications team, Mr. Testa was a Program Associate in the Health Policy Program. In that capacity, he helped write and edit the New Health Dialogue blog--a policy blog dedicated to promoting a bipartisan conversation on health reform that addresses the interrelated problems of cost, coverage, and quality in a sustainable way. Mr. Testa also worked to develop the program’s new media capabilities, most recently helping to launch The State of State Health--an interactive mapping tool to provide a comprehensive guide to the status and future of health care in America.
Mr. Testa is a summa cum laude graduate of Cornell University with a degree in government and a second major in economics. His honors thesis on the issue of prestige as a motive for Iran’s nuclear program received the Kasdan-Montessori Peace Prize. Before joining New America, Mr. Testa interned at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and at the Center for American Progress.
