Michael B. Likosky is co-director of New America’s Law and Globalization Initiative. He holds a doctorate from the Law Faculty of Oxford University and a JD from Yeshiva University. He is Principal at Social Risks LLC and also Reader in International Economic Law in the Law School at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. He has been John and Mary R. Markle Foundation Fellow at Oxford University and Global Crystal Eastman Research Fellow at New York University School of Law.
Mr. Likosky has published four books on International Economic Law, including Law, Infrastructure and Human Rights (Cambridge University Press 2006); The Silicon Empire (Ashgate 2005); Privatising Development (Martinus Nijhoff 2005); and Transnational Legal Processes (Cambridge University Press 2002). He twice contributed to the Oxford Amnesty Lectures. Mr. Likosky worked on the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development 2007 and 2008 World Investment Reports and the 2008 Trade and Development Report. He consulted for the United Nations, Ford Foundation, a New Reflection on Governance, the Center for Media Education, and the American Business Council Working Group on the Broadcasting Industry (CNN, ESPN, ABC, NBC) in association with Paul, Weiss, Garrison & Rifkind.
