Jonathan Guyer
American Strategy Program, Middle East Task Force
As a Program Associate for the Middle East Task Force, Jonathan Guyer contributes to the program’s aim of bringing new perspectives to longstanding conflicts and reinvigorating US policy in the region. He provides program and research support to Daniel Levy, co-director of the Middle East Task Force.
Prior to joining the New America Foundation, Mr. Guyer served as a project assistant for the National Democratic Institute’s Levant Team. He has also interned at The Middle East Report, The Century Foundation, and the Watson Institute for International Studies. Mr. Guyer earned his A.B. from Brown University with a concentration in Development Studies. In addition to speaking Hebrew, Jonathan has studied Arabic in Cairo and Tangiers. In his free time, he draws political cartoons and blogs at Mideast by Midwest.
