Hannah Graff

As the Research Associate for the Health Policy Program, Hannah Graff provided general research and administrative support. In addition, Ms. Graff worked on the program’s faith-based and moral case initiatives, primarily concerning faith-based alternatives to traditional health coverage and the cultural construction of health care reform. She left New America in the summer of 2007 to pursue a graduate degree in medical anthropology at Oxford University
Ms. Graff graduated cum laude and with departmental honors from the College of Wooster with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. Prior to New America she conducted research in Ohio and Osaka, Japan, writing on university students’ knowledge, perceptions and understandings of HIV/AIDS. Her other research includes the cultural adaptation to genetic disorders among the Amish of Pennsylvania and Ohio.
