Frank Micciche

Frank Micciche was the Managing Director of the Next Social Contract Initiative until May 2009. The initiative seeks to bring together the various domestic policy programs at New America, along with outside experts, to discuss the challenges that have badly strained the current social contract and to develop public policy solutions that will provide economic security and economic opportunity for individuals in the rapidly evolving 21st-century economy.

Before joining New America, Mr. Micciche worked in various positions in state government. He began his career in the House Minority Leader’s Office in the Massachusetts Legislature, departing after five years as Legislative Director. Following graduate school, he became a federal legislative liaison for Gov. John Engler of Michigan, focusing on health and human services. From 2003 to 2006, he served as Director of State-Federal Relations for Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, where he coordinated all interaction between the Commonwealth and the federal government, and advised the governor on federal policy issues. A graduate of Tufts University, he holds a master’s degree in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
