Elizabeth Wu

Manager, California Media, New America Foundation

As Manager of California Media, Elizabeth Wu directs all media outreach and strategy for California based fellows, programs, and staff. Her responsibilities also include promoting events, updating the New America in California website, and working with the communications team to increase public awareness of the foundation’s work. Ms. Wu brings her experience as Senior Communications Associate to this position.

Before joining New America, Ms. Wu interned at the German Marshall Fund, where she worked for the Marshall Memorial Fellowship Program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in peace and conflict studies and German from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, Ms. Wu researched multikulti Germany with Prof. Deniz Göktürk; she also studied German and European politics at Georg-August Universität in Göttingen, Germany. She is a Ford Family Foundation Scholar and an elected Board Member of the Ford Family Scholar Alumni Association.
