Elizabeth Wu was New America's Manager of California Media Relations until November 2011, when she left to join Prichard Communications in Portland, Ore. Her responsibilities included media outreach and strategy, events, website updates and social media. Prior to heading California media relations, Ms. Wu worked for New America in Washington, D.C., as a Senior Communications Associate.

Before joining New America, Ms. Wu interned at the German Marshall Fund, where she worked for the Marshall Memorial Fellowship Program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in peace and conflict studies and German from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, Ms. Wu researched multikulti Germany with Prof. Deniz Göktürk; she also studied German and European politics at Georg-August Universität in Göttingen, Germany. She is a Ford Family Foundation Scholar and an elected Board Member of the Ford Family Scholar Alumni Association.
