As Associate Director of Human Resources and Operations, Danielle Maxwell is responsible for human resources, overseeing the internship program, managing the operational side of the Fellows Program and assisting in various facets of the Foundation’s day-to-day operations. She is also a Program Associate in the Workforce and Family Program, providing research support on the issues of work-family balance.

Prior to joining New America, Ms. Maxwell served as the director of member relations at the Employment Policy Foundation where she was responsible for corporate member relations. Previously, she was the assistant director of corporate relations at the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, the marketing manager of donor relations at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, and an outreach coordinator with the Close Up Foundation. Ms. Maxwell received a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from American University and a bachelor’s degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia.
