Until early 2011, Anne L. Vorce was the Project Director for the Fiscal Roadmap Project of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB), which is housed at the New America Foundation, and the Policy Director for the Fiscal Policy Program of the New America Foundation. She was responsible for providing policy analysis and guidance to address our unprecedented U.S. fiscal, economic, and financial challenges.
Before joining New America, Ms. Vorce was the senior economist at the European Commission’s embassy in Washington, DC. In that capacity, she was the in-house expert on U.S. fiscal, economic and financial issues and provided analysis to top EU officials and their staff in Brussels. Ms. Vorce routinely briefed members of Congress and their staff on European fiscal, economic and financial questions. She has also been an economist at the Congressional Research Service, with specialties related to U.S. economic trends, financial sector reform, and international economic and financial developments. She has served as a consultant to education and health care associations, advising clients on strategic changes needed to address economic, financial and technological shifts; and to financial services firms on the outlook for currency and investment trends.
Ms. Vorce is the immediate past Chairman of the Board of the National Economists Club (NEC) and a previous NEC President. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan, the London School of Economics and the Johns Hopkins Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.
