Settlements, Security, and Closures in the Palestinian Territories

What can Israel Do in a Rapidly Changing Environment?

Please join us on Wednesday, July 11th on Capitol Hill for an enlightening discussion with Brigadier General (Ret.) Ilan Paz, former head of the Israeli Civil Administration in the West Bank (2002-2005) and Talia Sasson, who served as legal advisor to Prime Minister Sharon on settlements, outposts, and the rule of law in the territories. She was also the author of the definitive and far-reaching “Sasson Report”-- an official governmental paper which included an extensive set of policy recommendations.

Given recent developments on Israel-Palestine and the talk of easing conditions in the West Bank and working towards a political horizon, our two guests are uniquely placed to explain what is really needed on the ground, what is possible, and how it might work. There are few people with such expertise, seniority, and hands-on experience from within the Israeli system. We hope you can join us.
