Gunner Palace

Pre-release Screening of Michael Tucker's Documentary on the Iraq War

Gunner Palace is the real life portrayal of the members of the 2/3 Field Artillery, AKA the "Gunners", whose living headquarters are housed in Uday Hussein's Azimiya Palace, situated in the middle of the most volatile area in Baghdad.

Director Michael Tucker lived with the soldiers in what became a gunned out palace where he had total access to all unit operations and activities, resulting in a rare series of intimate "snapshots" that reveal the complex realities of a war that has to be seen to be understood. Gunner Palace is being released in theaters March 4th, please join us for this special sneak preview and chance to hear from Tucker about the making of the film.
