When exactly did a letter from a Cabinet Secretary to the Chairman of a Senate Committee constitute a back room deal? A back room deal used to mean no one knew about it. But Secretary Spellings sent copies of her letter to a dozen (or more) Members of Congress. Senator Kennedy and his staff released copies of the letter to even more. So obviously they are hiding something. Please. And god forbid we allow our elected representatives to vote on such a back room deal, who would possibly know about it then? New America needs to take a deep breath and stop getting the vapors over things they don't like instead of assuming vast governmental conspiracies. It might make the rest of your posts worth reading.
Hysteria is unwarranted
