Tyrone Freeman's behavior and the deafening silence from Andy Stern and other prominent labor leaders is a complete affront to working families all across the nation. A federal grand jury should be convened to investigate whether Stern, Freeman or any other members of the SEIU Executive Board knowingly violated state or federal statutes, circumvented federal reporting rules or misrepresented themselves. This is a very serious matter for the people. Labor unions fight for social and economic justice, their function as change agents in our society is essential. The movement cannot tolerate Freeman's questionable practices and nonsensical judgment.
