I am a parent, educator (M.Ed., in literacy and technology) and former consultant with the Oakland
Unified School District. I am also a low-income advocate and Commissioner with the Oakland Housing
Authority, in which I have been angered by the whole SES program administration, by which currently
there are no provisions put in place to even evaluate SES Program/Providers. I was running an After School
Program that focused on a parent driven model. This program is in conjuction with OTX West (free computer take home program and class for the parents) Using an on-line reading/math individualized
Assessment program focused on far below students and all students. I need support here. I am currently trying to build assessment tools through UCB College of Ed to see if my program works, to show
