I recall a study somewhere which found that young children who watch cartoons and/or play video games exhibited similar fMRI results to children diagnosed with ADHD, and that those children exhibited these patterns for several hours after they were finished with the electronic entertainment.
As well, doesn't this kind of pure visual stimulation without concomitant stimulation of other sensory systems contribute to Sensory Integration Dysfunction, which can mimic the symptoms of ADHD?
