Marjorie Christoffersen, the manager of El Coyote, a Mexican restaurant on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, has resigned, according to Frontiers magazine. Christoffersen made a $100 donation to the Yes on Prop 8 campaign. After the ban on same-sex marriage passed, protestors who favor same-sex marriage called for a boycott of the restaurant and demonstrated outside. Christoffersen is a Mormon, and her church had urged her to give.

Gay organized boycott forces resignation
Gay activists organized a boycott of a restaurant because the manager supported a political view (that had nothing to do with eating) they didn't agree with. If that is the case, then they should not complain if those who disagree with them adopt the same tactics and boycott restaurants or other businesses that have managers or owners who contributed to oppose prop 8.
resignation of manager who supported Prop 8
What you do politically should not affect your job, unless you involve your job on purpose. It sounds like this person did not do that. I don't agree with organizing a boycott of a business, based on one employee's decision. If the business had Prop 8 signs everywhere and were obviously supporting Prop 8, then that would be a different story. This person should not lose her job because of her convictions. How sad, that our nation has come to that.
