An effort to qualify a ballot initiative to legalize the retail sale of marijuana in Oregon has begun. Backers, dba Oregonians for Cannabis Reform, told reporters that they' want their measure to be on the 2010 ballot there. Under their proposal, pot would be sold at licensed liquor stores.

LEGALIZE IT!!!!!!!!!
First off i dont see why they ever illegalized it. The most it ever did is make us a little lazier but then again its 2008 and with all the electronics out what doesnt make us lazier? It is way safer then alcohol. Think about it! people who drink commonly get aggresive, and dont know what they are doing. Alcohal causes more wrecks, divorces, assholes, deaths, broken laws ect. How many potheads have killed somebody and if they did its because they got ripped off. If its legalized it would nearly elliminate that problem. The only problem you would really have to face is people procrastinating. I strongly believe they should legalize it after all man made beer god made pot who do you trust?
